Before you think I am asking you to become some sort of Vegan and only eat plants for the rest of your life-stop!! The last thing in the world that I want you take away from this article is that my fruit and vegetable diet means that meat-oh, that sweet, juicy and oh so tasty meat!!-needs to be excluded from what you eat. No, in fact, that would actually be a bad idea because we need the proteins and nutrients found in meat to succeed in our “Total Fitness Plan”.
Equally true, however, is that we need other vitamins and nutrients from fruits and vegetables in order for everything to work properly. Unfortunately, because plants just don’t seem to taste as good as meat, we slack on our fruits and vegetables. So, I am now going to say a few things about my fruit and vegetable diet so that you have a better understanding of what I mean and how it can help you attain your weight loss goals and lead a healthier life.
Establishing a fruit and vegetable diet simply means to eat a minimum of 2-3 servings of fruits and 4-5 servings of vegetables each day. Sticking to these minimum requirements is an essential component to your weight loss success. They have fewer calories and tend to leave you satisfied so that you are not as likely to “pig out” on a bunch of foods that are bad for you. They’re also loaded with nutrients as they contain water, vitamins, fiber and minerals.
Keep in mind these recommendations are minimum requirements to your successful weight loss. For optimum health and maximum weight loss, you should strive for a fruit and vegetable diet with nine or more servings of fruits and vegetables. Eating nine or more servings will not only fill you up and prevent you from overeating unhealthy foods, but will also reduce the risk of several forms of cancer. If the thought of eating nine or more servings overwhelms you, start out slow and aim for the minimum requirements when you begin.
Fruits
You may have heard that fruits aren’t the best to eat when following a weight loss plan because of their sugar content. While it’s true fruit contains fructose, a simple sugar that is easily converted to body fat, the benefits of eating fruit far outweigh their sugar content. Some fruits, however, are better than others in terms of their fructose content and overall nutritional value. The best fruits to include in your fruit and vegetable diet are:
- strawberries
- apples (green contain the least sugar)
- blueberries
- grapefruit
- pears
- oranges
- boysenberries
- papaya
- cranberries (including cranberry juice)
- blackberries
- guava
- cantaloupe
The following fruits contain the most sugar and should be eaten less frequently:
- grapes
- bananas
- dried fruit
- coconut (also contains a fair amount of fat)
- dates
- canned and processed fruit
Final notes on fruit…
Raw fruit is always the best in terms of nutritional value. If you need to “alter” fruit in anyway, cooked, baked or steamed is better than boiled. Boiling lowers the nutritional value. Fruit juice does count as a fruit but contains less fiber than fruit itself so fruit is preferred over fruit juice.
Vegetables
Vegetables, like fruits, are rich in nutrients. They have one main advantage over fruits: they are a complex carbohydrate. Your body doesn’t convert complex carbohydrates into fat as easily as fructose (or simple sugars). Vegetables also tend to be lower in total calories than fruits so you can eat to your heart’s content without any affect on your weight loss goals. Vegetables also lower your risk of various cancers and heart disease. Finally, like fruit, vegetables are best eaten raw or steamed (without oil or butter). Some vegetables are better than others. The best vegetables to incorporate in your fruit and vegetable diet are:
- green beans
- broccoli
- carrots
- mushrooms
- celery
- cabbage
- lettuce
- onions
- tomato
- zucchini
- turnip greens
- turnips
- artichokes
- alfalfa sprouts
- brussels sprouts
- collard greens
- leeks
- eggplant
- kale
- okra
- scallions
- summer squash
- spinach
Avocado should be limited or avoided as a part of your fruit and vegetable diet due to its high fat content. You should also avoid canned and processed vegetables.
Now see, none of that was too painful now was it? Honestly, the fruit and vegetable diet is like anything else that is good for you but not necessarily exciting or rewarding: it just takes some getting used to. Work is good for us but we don’t really like it. We have to condition ourselves to get up every day and put our time in. And, if we stick at it and keep plowing forward, our income improves and our lives get better. The same is true of a fruit and vegetable diet. Good things will come of it and you will feel better about yourself and your life if you stick with it!

I suggest everyone give it a go for at least a week
Did you happen to try this diet for a week and it worked? If so, how much did you lose?
Yes it does work! I lost 15 lbs in 10 days. Strict fresh veggie and fruit smoothies for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. First three days are the hardest. It’s worth it! I feel more energized.
Hello, congrats on your weight loss. I am an athlete that cant afford to lose any muscle mass and i was also wondering if i could do this diet by eating non juiced fruits and vegies for 7 days? how much could i possibly lose
What kind of athlete? The fruit and vegetable diet probably lacks enough protein for serious competitors.
Wanting to start a 7-day veggie & fruit diet. I’m 5’10″, 325lbs and diabetic(type 2), controlled by oral meds no insulin. Goal would be weight loss with a better blood sugar level. Thinking peanut butter and oatmeal would qlso help. Any suggestions?
Natural peanut butter would be an acceptable addition in your situation, I would say. I can’t make any guarantees without seeing you and discussing your overall diet but this should work.
Hi I want to lose weight but only on a strict fruit and vegetable diet but witch fruits and vegetables is the best to eet please help
It really depends on a lot of things, which are hard to tell you without knowing more info. IE. your height, weight, activity level, what type of workout you do, etc. If you want to post that here, I’ll do my best to give you some information, but without it then I’d just be shooting in the dark. There’s no one right answer that fits everyone.
Hey!
I’m 5″7 and a 230 pound female.
Around how long would I need to do this diet to lose 100 lbs?
I’ll be working out 4 days a week doing 2-3 miles within an hour a day.
Any advice would be appreciated!!
Gracie, let me first start off by saying congratulations! You’re definitely taking the right first step to losing weight. 5’7″ / 230 is definitely overweight and you are going to both look and FEEL much, much better once you lose some of your extra pounds. I don’t know what kind of time frame you are giving yourself for achieving a 100 lb weight loss, but I certainly wouldn’t rush it. Get yourself on a good overall diet, and it sounds like you are already motivated to get to the gym and exercise properly. I’d probably recommend a good appetite suppressant to help you cut back on snacking and get some portion control over your meals along with a good exercise routine. Please feel free to email me – marc (at) mens-total-fitness.com and I’d be happy to send you a sample diet/meal plan to help you out. The out-of-the-box fruit and vegetable diet isn’t going to be right in your case, but I can modify it a bit to where I think you’ll see some good results! Stay motivated!
I am 16 years old right now. Do you think by me going on this diet will affect my growth?
(5 ft and 125 pounds)
I don’t typically recommend any kind of “fad diet” (which ultimately is what the Fruit and Vegetable diet is) to anyone your age. Your metabolism should be active enough to lose weight through proper REGULAR diet and exercise. Your body is still growing as you’ve mentioned and depleting it of adequate protein, etc. is not something I would recommend. I certainly cannot say with absolute certainty that this diet will or will not affect your growth, but I wouldn’t recommend it to someone your age – sorry!
This seems interesting to me. Does anyone have the correct portions for this? I’m 27, 5’8″ 190. My exercise of choose is biking/hiking.
Your total caloric intake should not exceed 2,000 calories so you can adjust accordingly as needed. If you are staying very hungry and hitting 2,000 calories, you can add an appetite suppressant such as PhenTabz to help. I’ve added a signup box on the bottom of the post where you can enter your information to get a sample diet.
oops. My exercise of choice*
hi,
I started a similar diet 5 days ago. I would like to know if eating two slices of lean ham and a spoon of asian-sesame vinaigrette / day with one of my vegetable serving will keep me from losing weight. I also ate 1/3 cup of quinoe/day with one of my salad (only for 3 days).
Will I see some results if I stick to this plan for 2 weeks? I don’t eat starchy food.
I am quite active: dance, walk, bike, etc.
I decided to follow this plan because I lacked energy and had an endless anemia. One of my friend suggested that I try a fruit/vegetable diet for some days. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised to feel energized after the first day and I didn’t feel as exhausted as usual, despite the reduced-calorie intake. No iron tablet never had this effect on me!
Thank u your input.
Hi there! I don’t typically recommend doing this diet for longer than 7 days at a time. Your body needs protein. But what you mentioned should be acceptable. You just can’t expect the extreme results that others who follow it strictly have gotten, but with that being said you should still get some good results with what you mentioned.
I am 44 and looking to shed some extra weight. Will this work for me? I am semi active and its a little hot outside to continue hiking so I am on the treadmill at least 3 times a week. I am 5 ft and 150 lbs. My family is all chunky but I am the actually fitter than them. I am trying to make sure that my grand daughter eats lost of healthy foods and I do not feed her junk. Do you think you can help me come up with a good meal plan for myself so I can get myself started. I would appreciate it.
Hi, I’ve actually just added a signup form on the bottom of the post where you can put your information in (everyone can do this) to get a sample fruit and vegetable diet emailed to you. Good luck and way to go on keeping the junk food away!!!
Hi! I’m sammy I’m 23 years old and 5’6. I weigh about 190 and have been on the fruit and veggie diet for about 5 days so far and feel great! In my diet I also drink milk for calcium and get protein. I work out 4 days a week and work 5 days. I wanna know if this is a safe and fast way for me to lose weight?
Thanks
hey. im 5’8 199 pounds but im athletic and play basketball. im pretty fast and jump pretty high but not like i use to. im muscular but i’d rather cut more musle and fat to lean up my body. ima goin to try this fruit and veg. diet but how often throught out the day should i eat the fruits and vegs. and how much?
If you are athletic, this diet may not be for you. It lacks protein needed for an active athlete. That being said, you could try it – but I’d recommend adding in a mid-morning and mid-afternoon protein shake (mixed with water, not milk) at minimum so your body has enough energy to perform properly.
so, how long should one go on this diet for? I am 49 yrs old, 170 lbs, I do walk everyday (2miles) and just can not seem to lose the weight .. I’m needing some help from you
Thanks
I wouldn’t stay on this diet for more than 7 days at a time. 1 week on, 1 week off, 1 week on, 1 week off, etc. Hopefully while you are walking you are getting your heart rate up. Do you have a heart rate monitor? Just because you are “walking” doesn’t mean your body is burning any fat. Make sure you’re getting that heart rate up above your normal resting bpm.
HEY! im 18 years and 155 pounds. Ive been following your diet plan for 8 days now, and its really given me energy and i feel better, but i was just wondering if it really matters if i dont WORKOUT, if it will make the diet mute?. The thing is, i live in a very small town that dont have GYMS and NO things i culd workout with. What shuld i do? is it enough that i do stretches every night?.
“Working out” is a relative term. At 18, your body doesn’t need the serious workout that older people will need. Your metabolism is naturally high right now. But you definitely should do stretches and then you can do something as easy as jogging for cardio to lose weight. Pick a nice scenic route around your house and go for a nice run!
I was wondering, are potatoes and rice are okay to eat along with the vegetables? Where I live these are kind of staple foods that are included at every meal. Potatoes are usually boiled in water and a bit of salt is added, that’s all. We don’t usually add butter, sour cream or any of the extras. And the rice is just your regular white rice.
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t add those to a fruit and vegetable diet.
Hello, I have been exercising and eating healthy for some time now and I am just losing all hope to losing my last 10-15 pounds. I am 19 years old and I weigh 130lbs, I work as a server, exercise about 5 times a week, and still I am not losing any weight at all. I also have lupus, so I try not to overwork myself too much and I know I could probably do better on my diet, but it is very hard to stay healthy while living with my parents when they eat unhealthy foods all the time, also my range of food ideas are very small, I am completely lost when it comes to making healthy meals, I run out of ideas. So, I am wondering if doing this diet for a couple of days or weeks will help me to lose those last few pounds. I NEED HELP!!
Hello Christina – yes it should certainly help! Question though: if you know your parents eat unhealthy foods, why eat there? That may seem like a silly question, but since you appear to be out of the house a lot (work, exercise, etc.) I’d say you should simply eat elsewhere. Do you have friends that would go in with you on cooking healthy meals? Are you able to suggest to your parents that they should be on a better diet as well? Something as easy as grilled chicken breasts and a cup of green veggies will go a long way! Communication is key!
I put my son on this diet last sat…and he has lost 14 pounds…he is also in the gym 2 times a day…and walks on treadmill at a 4.0 incline of 7 to burn the sweat…..he has 11 pounds to go in 2 weeks ….any suggestions to speed it up
He also has a personal traininer and total weight loss is 24 pounds in a month
Hi Kerri,
Be careful – 24 pounds of weight loss in a month is above average and I probably wouldn’t recommend accelerating it any more. What is so important in the next 2 weeks that he has 11 more pounds to lose? Could it be spread out over the next month instead? There are potential health risks involved with losing weight too quickly.
Yes he has to make weight for football if u have any help please email me…
Hi Kerri, sorry I can’t safely recommend anything for quicker weight loss. Making weight for football to me is not as important as being safe!
hi, i would like to know how much weight i could really use doing this diet i weigh right know about 185 iam1.62 ft tall and am bif boned i lose weight pretty fast, and would like to try this vegetable and fruit diet, can i also include chiken into the diet or does it have to be only vegetables and fruits? and how much weight if followed correctly can i be losssing
thanks
Hi Krystina, this diet works wonders for some people so if you are a quick loser you may have great results. Adding chicken to this diet kind of defeats the purpose of it but it should still be relatively safe to add 6oz of chicken breast (no salt) at least once a day and perhaps twice or substituting that for protein shakes mixed with water in between the fruit & vegetable regimen. Give it a try for a week and see how you do!
Hey, I’m 5’5 and weigh a terrible 246lbs….it seems as if it is so hard to lose weight n keep it off. If I do this diet and exercise 5days a week, do you think this will work, to make me lose weight and keep it off??? And, also if it’s 7days on and 7days off….is there anything that you should follow when your off inorder to make sure you don’t gain????
Hello Netta, what is your goal weight? This diet may not be the best choice for you. I’ll certainly try to help you out the best I can!
ok, I have been on this diet for a week and only lost 1.2 lbs
what is up with that?
Hi Madison, thanks for the comment. 1.2lbs in a week may not seem significant, but it IS weight loss. Continue and see how it goes. Some people have their plateau first and experience rapid weight loss further in. Please keep me informed how you’re doing. Do you feel weak or constantly hungry on this diet? And I have to ask – did you cheat AT ALL with snacks, etc.? You may need to look into an appetite suppressant if so. This diet works if followed properly in most cases. Nothing works 100% for every person though, so if you don’t see results in another week or so then we can explore having you try something else.
Hello I am 5-9 and I weigh 215 pounds and I want to go down to 150 to 165 can you help. I would like to stick to fruits and greens.
Thanks
Nelson
Hello Nelson, again just like some others who are commenting here – you are trying to lose a significant amount of weight (upwards of 65 pounds in your case) and this diet will certainly help you get there but it’s not the answer. Once you drop some weight (and you CAN lose significant weight on this diet), you can continue losing and keep it off through proper diet and exercise. I’m happy to help you with that when the time comes – just shoot me an email!
hi,
i have been doing this diet for 4 days now and it’s great but i was wondering if i have fish for dinner and a large portion of veggies will this effect my wait loss ?
Well, it’s sort of skewing from the point of this diet – but if you must, I’d stick to salmon or tilapia with 1 cup of green veggies.
i cook my fish in tin foil over heat*
hey, im 18 years off age. nd weigh 195 i would lyk to go down to 150, if i follow this fruit nd veg diet how long till i can get my result i also walk for at least 2 hours a day.
Hi Lauren, first I’d just like to add that I don’t typically recommend fad diets to someone your age. That being said, if you’re going to try it then you’re going to try it and I can’t stop you.
Losing 45 pounds is NOT easy and this diet alone will not get you there. It will get you a very good start so give it a try and then adjust your actual diet accordingly. Move to eating lean proteins and eating smaller portions but more times per day…typical weight (fat) loss meal plans. Email me for suggestions when that time comes and I’ll give some to you for sure. Try this diet if it appeals to you for 1 week on, 1 week off, 1 week on and see what your results are. As for the walking – how fast are you walking? Make sure to get your heart rate up a bit to promote fat loss. Simply walking without an elevated heart rate won’t do too much for you.
The sign up for a sample diet is not working at least for me. It says error 404 page not found. I have 2 questions. If I added 2 grilled chicken breasts to this diet, and on occasion only one and substituted a protein shake for the other chicken breast, is this something that I could continue doing for the next 6 weeks? You mentioned 1 week on and 1 week off because of the lack of protein. Also, maybe your link for the sample diet has this information, but since its not working for me, where can I find examples of how much of each fruit is 1 serving? Thank you in advance
Amanda, sorry about that – it should be fixed now and you SHOULD have received the plan via email. Let me know if you did not. Adding 6oz of grilled chicken breast twice a day and substituting with a protein shake should be fine. Please mix your protein shake with water (and a high quality protein powder) instead of milk, though. Also, avoid adding salt to your chicken breast. Good luck!
I would like a sample plan. I’m not sure how much I should eat in a days time on a fruit and vegetable only diet.I am a 38 year old male and weigh 335 pounds.
Brad, there is a signup form on the bottom of the post to get a sample plan sent to you. If you sign up and don’t receive it just shoot me an email (marc (at) mens-total-fitness(dot)com) and I’ll send it over personaly. What is your goal weight?
Hi Marc,I would love to see 200 pounds. I got down to 225 in 2004 and when I got there I celebrated the weight loss by eating at a Chinese buffet, I never stopped and here I am again. I got down there on a low carb diet (strict one that is).
Hi Marc, i’m a 5’3 135 pound 20 year old female and my 21st birthday is just about a month away and i would like to lose 15 to 20 pounds by then because i used to weigh around 115 before college, and then i put on that dreaded freshman 15!!…..anyway i would really appreciate any feedback as to whether you think my goal weight can be achieved in a month with this diet and if not what an acceptable weight for a month from now would be? and i’d also like to know how much fruit and vegetables to eat? I’ve been on diets before where i’ve eaten way too little calories without knowing until after the fact and didn’t really lose weight because my body went into starvation mode…so that is my fear with this diet because it just seems like i could eat so many fruits and veggies and not reach over 1000 calories without feeling bloated…sorry for all the questions…but one last one..I would also like to know what kind of exercise(if any) is okay to do with this?? Thank you so much…..
-arlene
Hello Arlene, yes – the dreaded freshman 15! We’ve all been there at one time or another! You should have still gotten the diet plan via email (check your spam/junk mail folders) even though the page did not work. If not, let me know and I’ll send it to you. This diet should help you lose your goal relatively quickly – 10 pounds at minimum should be attainable. Any exercise is great! Fat burning cardio is great..I have had clients do this and have great results purely doing high intensity cardio (30 mins straight on the treadmill for example with no distractions going full bore – sweat sweat sweat!). Being in college (and I may be mistaken, if so – I apologize) – I have to also say this..stay away from alcohol, it will ruin this diet!
hi marc thanks a lot! yes if you could send it to my email address because i’m not getting it for some reason..my email address is amblake@hunter.cuny.edu
I forgot to add, that i tried to use the link to get the diet plan but it doesn’t work
Hello,
I have been on this diet for a week now and my weight loss has slowed. I am figuring the first 8 pound was water weight. I work out 6 days a week also. I am 22 5 ft 6 at 169 I would like to be at maybe 160 in about week. I also take cadence fruit pills for metabolism uptake. Any suggestions
That would be cayenne fruit pills…..
I am 41 year male, with 180 cm height. My weight is about 192 pounds. I feel great when i am at anywhere below 180 pounds. My goal is 170 – 175 and don’t go over 175 lbs. What kind of diet plan and activities you suggest. Thanks.
I am 19 5’6 and 180 pounds and I plan on going to the gym at least 4 days out of the week. Do you think that the fruit and vegetable diet will work for me?
I know have 6 pound to go for Thu…I’m shooting for Thu because that’s when school starts and won’t be able to work out as much If Im down to my goal weight I can still continue on diet and exercise just not work out as much and know I’m getting healthier..
Hi, Im 5’2 weigh 240. I would like to try this diet. But have no Idea how to go about it. How long you should stay on it at a time. Im not real active but definetly plan to start a diet and be more active so come next spring and summer I wont feel uncomfortable in shorts and a swim suit. I Love all veggies and fruit but just would like to know how to go about this. Any recipes you can share;)
Hi there ! I am 27 female and 5’6”. my weight is 172 lb. want to lose 18 lb in 3 months. by this diet how much I can lose in 7 days ? I also do cross training 30 minutes a day. how frequently should I do this diet ? please help !
Just wanted to ask about food preparation, which spices are allowed, and which should i avoid?
Mrs. Dash is always a good choice. Try to avoid salt if possible.
Im 5’6, 180 lbs., work out 5 days a week. Should I cut out dairy all together? As far as dairy goes, I eat chobani yogurt and drink organic fat free milk. Please help me with a fruit and vegetable diet. Thanks.
I recommend cutting out dairy altogether when you are trying to lose weight quickly, yes. If you want a sample fruit and vegetable diet emailed to you please let me know!
Hello,
I’ve read this and took notes!
I am 22 yrs old and weigh 145lb and i am only 5’2! I think about my weight everyday! I’ve never been this big! and it affects me so much, I use to box almost 4 yrs ago, that was when i was 115 lbs. how can i go back to this? will eating meat be healthy too? or is this strictly fruits and veggies?
You can get away with adding some lean proteins to this diet if you’d like. Stick to turkey and chicken and you should be fine if you’re active. Good luck!
Im 5″3 and 160 pounds. I want to lose at least 30 pounds before december. Do you think this diet will help along with excerise? What do you suggest?
I’m 50 years of age. My problem is my belly and I’m about 106 kilos. I’m 5ft. 10 inches tall…..I’m not fat but my stomach and belly makes me feel bad….I also like to eat a lot…but I will try the seven days veg and fruit diet…Can someone tells me what will I do after the seven day period.
After you lose the weight you want to lose, you can go back to just a regular healthy active lifestyle to keep it off. Try to stick to lean meats like turkey and chicken for protein. Egg whites are always a safe choice and green beans are always safe. You definitely do not want to stay on the fruit and vegetable diet forever!
Hi! My name is Crystal, I’m wanting to do this diet plan for 1 week. So far I am on day 2…It has been rough but I am remaining strong & hoping it gets easier. My plan consists of all the raw fruits & veggies I want each day, lots of water & running 2.5 miles every day. Do you think this is an effective plan to loose my last stubborn 10 lbs? I am 5’2″ & am 125lbs….Goal 115lbs. Also I have a few other questions. On day one I drank alot of green tea…would that be a good idea or should I stick to just water. I was also wondering if incorporating cooked veggies in the diet as well as beans, if this would interfere with my overall goal.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
hello, i am 25, 5’3”, i weigh 145 poundsand i’m not a very active person. i would like to know if this is a good start or option for me because i have tried other diet plans before but i just ended up being in starvation mode. so far i have been trying white meat and vegetables but no results. i would like to now how much fruits & veggies can i eat in a day? can i use a light dressing with my veggies? (I usualy use vinagrette). my goal weight is 125 and i want to loose these 20 pounds before my graduation that is a month away. thank you…
Susan, you need a good appetite suppressant if you ended up being “starving”. You also need to get active. There’s no magic that will make you lose weight and live healthy if you are not active. I’m sorry if that’s not the answer you wanted to hear but I’m telling you what you need to hear. I know it’s hard (harder for some than others) – but it’s VERY important that you become at least semi-active if you want to lose weight. No diet or pill is going to magically get rid of it.
I want to lose 20 lbs in 2 week and planning to go in a fruit only diet. Is tea and cracker allowed during my 2 week fruit diet? Please send me a diet plan. Im 34, 5’2″ and 132 lbs. My ideal weight is 110 lbs.
I’d recommend sticking at least semi-close to the fruit & vegetable diet. Your body needs certain nutrients that come from the vegetables. Tea without sweetener (use Splenda if you must) is probably OK but don’t add any creamer/dairy to it. Crackers aren’t going to be a good mix to this diet. I’ve emailed you a sample diet – please read through it and try to stick to the plan. Once you start adding things like crackers, it’s not really a “fruit and vegetable diet” anymore and therefore won’t be as effective.
I was wondering if you could send me a diet plan as well…i am 5 10…and I weigh 220…i want to get down to about 185 or so…i dont do much exercise…i am a salesman so I basically walk all day…thanks alot
Sent to you via email!
Hello,
I was hoping I could get some helpful information about my diet. I am odd in what I choose to eat daily. I don’t have much of a variety of foods that I eat everyday. I eat oatmeal for breakfast and a burrito for lunch and dinner. That’s my diet, it’s very simple. I spoke with someone who said,”you are not getting enough protein in your diet and you need to add fruits and vegetables.” I realize she was right, I would like to totally change my diet, but whatever change there is, it has to be simple, and also something I could eat everyday. I don’t want meat in my diet. I am not picky with fruits or vegetables, and I would rather eat both raw. I am 35 years old, I weigh 188 lbs, and my height is 5’5 1/2. I don’t get out and exercise, but I am very active, because I am a neat freak with my house, and I also take care of someone who is a paraplegic, I do stay busy. I am ignorant about what to buy at the grocery store when it comes to purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables. Any information or advice that you could share with me would be greatly appreciated.
Email sent, good luck!
I am 165 pounds and 166cm tall. I would like to lose 30 pounds in one month and I am willing to follow a strict fruit and vegetable diet. Please help me. looking forward to your email. Thanks.
Sample diet plan has been emailed to you. Good luck!
Hi! I’ve been planning to lose weight. Been having steamed vegetables (carrots and broccoli) and fresh fruits for 3 days now. Fruits have mostly been longans. I haven’t lost any weight and Im not used to it but i now try to drink 8 glasses of water a day and I feel very bloated. I was just wondering maybe I am not losing weight because of the longans? They are very sweet. I consume roughly a kilo a day. I’m 5’2 and I weigh 140 lbs. I was also hoping you could send me your diet plan. Thank you
Sample fruit & veggie diet has been emailed to you. Good luck!
Dear Marc, My name is Lorena.I am a 34 years of age.I read your article and I think it is great, its like going back to basics when it comes to dieting naturally. I am 5’6 and weigh 165lbs. I don’t feel energetic, and had to replace my entire wardrobe with large sizes.I have gained 20lbs in less then a year.I will start this new way of eating healthy and will post my progress. Is there any advice you can give me.
Hi Lorena -it’s great to see that you are getting back into fitness! I’ve emailed you a sample fruit and veggie diet plan to look over. Good luck!
Hi, my husband and I want to do this diet, but I’m trying to figure out the best way to go about it. We both want to work out while dieting, but we’re concerned that that may not be a good idea. We saw that you have emailed others a diet plan. Would you do the same for us? We would greatly love to change our eating habits, which have gotten a little ‘lazy’ in recent years. Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated. My husband is 5’8″ and weighs 213. I am 5’3″ and weigh 123. I know I don’t need to lose weight, so I’m doing it 1) to support my hubby, and 2) to detox/cleanse myself. I also need to get in shape, so I figure this will be a good jump start to overhauling myself.
Thanks!
Sample sent to your email! Working out on the fruit and veggie diet is ok, you may just need to add the supplements suggested in the diet to avoid fatigue. Good luck!!
